Trek

The day after we got back from Redmond we had the opportunity to go on the pioneer trek in Wyoming with my parents ward. It was an amazing experience, and made the sacrifice that the pioneers made so much more real. We put up tents in the wind, had no flushing toilets, or running water for four days. We pulled handcarts for three days straight. We had the opportunity to go into Martins Cove, participate in two river crossings, and do the Womens pull. And helped cook meals for everyone there.
Thank you mom and dad for inviting us to come with you! It is an experience we will never forget!

    Love your blog!
I loved hearing about your handcart trek! I have ancestors in the Willie Handcart company. We have been to some of those places you were in! Quite a spirit there isn't there!
