Thanksgiving fun

We went to Lehi to spend Thanksgiving with Jeremy's family. We went down Wednesday night after Jeremy got off of work. Thursday morning we went to see Blind side, which if you haven't seen it, we would definately recommend it. It is an awesome movie! Just make sure you go to the bathroom before you go in the theatre! Its a longer one, and we all ran for the bathroom as soon as it ended! Then we went back to Jeremy's parents house and ate Thanksgiving dinner., after a short nap we watched My sisters keeper, which Jeremy's parents have been trying to get us to watch for a long time because they play "our song" in it! It is also a good movie, but make sure you have a lot of kleenex with you when you watch it.
And to top it all off, one of their neighbors called us a half hour before the Jazz game started and offered us four free tickets! So Chasity, Alan, Jeremy, and I all went to the game. It was a lot of fun spending time together. We ended up getting home at 2 in the morning. We tried to drag it out as long as we could! Thanks for all the fun times!

Food Storage

Since we got married and bought a house with a yard, all Jeremy has talked about is how we need a garden so we can have food storage! He was like a kid in a candy store when it started growing! Once the garden started producing we bottled at night, and on my day off every week! Jeremy was there as much as he could be! It was crazy. We bottled rasperry jam, four batches of spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, garlic and basil tomatoes, chili sauce, salsa, apple sauce, peaches, and pears. It was insane, but its fun to see it all pile up downstairs! Jeremy is planning a shelf building project so we can rotate everything, and keep it all organized. Thanks aunt Charlotte, and Mom for all your help with everything, we couldn't have done it without you!

We have a yard!

Our longest summer project is now finally complete! We had no grass. We had a yard of dirt. We decided to hydroseed instead of sod. Which turned out to be a lot of work but totally worth it! We tilled and raked the dirt so many times I was worried that the neighbors might think we just liked our dirt to look nice! I took a while to get enough loose soil to spray the seed in this rocky clay filled soil. Once we got it ready and they sprayed the seed, we had to put caution tape around the whole yard. It took about five weeks but it was fun to watch it all come in! And I no longer have to dust and mop my house everyday! We can even walk on it without our shoes on! We love grass!

Just had to share a picure of two of my favorite people! Could they really be any cuter?!?!?!

Fun with the girls

Mom bought us tickets to go to "Time Out for Women" this year. Its like a mini BYU womens conference. It was so much fun to hang with the girls and be spiritually uplifted. We heard incredible speakers, and listened to some great music. We learned from Michael Mclean, that when you're stressed out all you have to do is sing OOOOOOO! And you will feel a lot better. So don't be surprised if you hear me all of a sudden start singing OOOOO! I'm pretty sure its gonna happen! Thanks mom...Love ya the mostest!

Labor Day

For Labor day we went to the annual Ringer reunion in Brian Head. We had three cabins between all of us. We went four wheeling, paintball shooting, Ate a ton of food, watched movies, played games, and laughed a lot!!! One of my favorite comments of the trip was Connor playing with brendan and Jared. They were all pretending to be Harry Potter. Connor pointed his wand at Brendan and turned him into a frog, to which Brendan replied, "I'm not a frog" Connors eyes got big and he said "a talking frog?!?!?!?!?! He knew his spell had worked! Its so fun to get together with everyone once a year! Thanks everyone for making it happen, can't wait for next year!
On our way home from Brian Head we stopped and ate at Texas Roadhouse Steak house. Jason and Lynns 8 year anniversary was the next day and Mom happened to mention this to our waitress. Next thing we knew there was a saddle and a bunch of waitors and waitresses yelling YEEHAW, and Jason was sitting on the saddle! Lucky Lynn had the baby! HA ha!

Heart Surgery

Over Labor day weekend my sister Charlotte and I both had heart surgery! We both had what they call a PFO which is a hole in your heart. Everyone is born with one but its supposed to close when your 2. 1 in 4 people have it and don't even know it, and some people never have a problem with it. The hole is in the part of your heart where the blood comes in to be sent to the lungs for purification. But some of this "bad blood" can leak through the hole and go to your brain causing all kinds of problems if there happens to be a clot. They think this is what caused Charlottes strokes, so hopefully with this fixed now she wont have anymore problems!
The surgery takes about 35 minutes, and they don't even put you out all the way! They go up an artery in your leg that goes directly to your heart and they plug the hole! We had to stay over night in the hospital, and they released us the next morning after an EKG. Its so amazing the things they can do!

Me right after surgery!

Jeremy chillin in the hospital!

Rodeo Fun

We went to the Cache County Fair and Rodeo with Jess and Brady this weekend. It was a pretty good time! We had Fair food and funnel cake, and the stomach aches to prove it. A good time at the rodeo even though the cowboys were having a rough time gettin it done! And a good time playing games after. Gotta love the Fair and Rodeo!!

Wakeboarding

Jeremy's sister Kristina came up to visit this week. It was so fun to have her here, and a great excuse to get out the boat! She is just learning how to wakeboard, and she rocked it while she was here! Thanks for coming.....we had a blast!!

Bear Lake

The family reunion in Bearlake this year, happened to be over the 24th of July, and was so much fun! I went up Thursday morning and played all day in the sun. Jeremy came up Thursday night with Jared Connor and uncle Dave. We ate dinner and then went to Pickleville playhouse. Some how Jeremy ended up on stage....I have no idea how that happened. Ok I do, so we knew that they were going to ask for people to come up and help. So we had the whole row behind us, (which was aunt Charlotte's family)point to Jeremy and we were all pointing as well. Michelle, (my cute cousin that is in the show) came down the isle and grabbed him. He turned to me and said "what is wrong with you" and he was headed for the stage. They sang the song she'll be coming round the mountain. His verse was she'll be wearing pink pajama's when she comes. And he had to say O la la! Some how he got confused and when the mic was pointed at him he took it and started singing the whole song! It was hilarious, brought down the house!
Friday we got up and headed for the beach. We were first out on the boat where we wakeboarded and skied. That afternoon a storm blew in and there were some pretty big waves. So we took the opportunity to play in the water for a while. Then we decided we better get the boat out of the water. That proved to be a bit intense! We were hitting ten foot waves on the way back. It took six of us to get the boat out, two of which we didn't even know! We had some campfire fun and then off to bed.
Saturday we were all pretty sunburned! Jeremy especially, somehow he "forgot" the sunscreen the day before. But we managed to have a good time anyway! Thanks everyone for a great time!

Grandma's funeral

This last couple of weeks has been kinda rough for Jeremy and his family. His Grandma (his mom's mom) passed away after almost a week in intensive care. Jeremy was asked to play the piano at the memorial service, and during the conversation somehow volunteered me to sing a solo while he played the piano!!!! I love to sing and have done a lot of it in my life time, but I have NEVER sung a solo in my life, and was sooooo nervous! But I knew it would mean a lot to him if I did it! We had two days to practice, and he is amazing! He practiced every free minute he had and learned the song well enough to accompany me! I was so nervous! For some reason when I sing I get so nervous in front of people that my throat swells and I shake so bad my knee caps shake! Needless to say we prayed really hard that we would be able to perform the musical number, and not cause more pain in the process. And good news..... it worked! It went pretty well all things considered! Not that I would like to do it again, but my first experience definately wasn't as bad as I had imagined.
After the memorial service we went to Jeremy's uncles house and had a bbq and chatted with the family. It was a lot of fun, and I ejoyed getting to know more of Jeremy's family. Thanks for making me feel so welcome in your family!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July! We started the day with breakfast with Grandpa Lehman. A yearly tradition. Then Jeremy, my dad and I all went four wheeling up to Old Ephraims grave. It was a blast, but there were a lot of people up there, and as you can see we were all eating each others dust! After that we went to Great Grand aunt Charlottes house for a party. Jeremy jumped in the pool, and splashed the rest of us standing outside the pool. We played frisbee golf which Jeremy won the mens prize and I won the womens prize! Horse shoes was another option. Then it was time for the bbq. After we ate everyone gathered for the waterballoon volleyball which eventually turned into a huge water fight that ended with the guys all throwing each other into the pool. Excluding Jason!!! For some reason they couldn't get him off the ground! I wish I had a picture! Then there was the red white and blue dessert contest.... and thanks to the jello cake strawberries and blueberrys, and everyone that voted for me, I won! And there was some stiff competition! Then to top off the night we lit legal fireworks, and watched the neighbors not so legal ones! We had a blast!

Softball

Jeremy's favorite summer sport is softball. He is on three different teams right now, two co-ed teams and one mens league! On the co-ed teams he is not allowed to hit home runs, which at times has been a struggle for him! It is really fun to watch him play. He would really like to get on a competitive team for the fall and maybe play in some all night softball competitions! Good luck babe...keep up the good playin! Love ya!

Trek

The day after we got back from Redmond we had the opportunity to go on the pioneer trek in Wyoming with my parents ward. It was an amazing experience, and made the sacrifice that the pioneers made so much more real. We put up tents in the wind, had no flushing toilets, or running water for four days. We pulled handcarts for three days straight. We had the opportunity to go into Martins Cove, participate in two river crossings, and do the Womens pull. And helped cook meals for everyone there.
Thank you mom and dad for inviting us to come with you! It is an experience we will never forget!

Introducing Redmond

Jeremy finally took me down to where he grew up! Redmond Utah....the middle of no where! When we got there we went down to jjwd's. Its a store down there that kinda has everything. Come to find out, someone opened a registry for us there, so we went to check it out. We ended up finding a griddle. Then we drove around the town and they pointed out different places, and homes where people live that they grew up with. Then it was back home for a bbq with his family for fathers day. The next morning Jeremy's dad woke us up at 7:30 a.m. because the hot air balloons were over the lake. Once a year they do a fly over the redmond lake and it happened to be while we were there. It was really cool to watch them rise over the lake and float around. One landed right across the street!
Then it was time for church, where the bishop got up and had to explain that he bought chewing tobacco because he had a recipe for killing squash bugs and it called for chewing tobacco. Rumors spread like wildfire in a small town!
Then it was time for some shooting. The guys had a great time, and I even got a couple shots in! I even hit one of the clay pigeons...total luck!
We had a blast and it was really fun to see that part of Jeremy!

Jeremy and I decided that we needed new sunglasses and these were a perfect fit! Just kidding, we definately have better taste than that! Mom and Dad took the whole family to see the movie UP in 3D. It was a blast and is such a good movie....a must have if you ask us! It was fun to watch my niece's and nephew's trying to figure out how the glasses made the movie come right off the screen!

Our first Garden

And the best part about it is its actually growing!

This is our second project. Planting a garden in the backyard! Gotta love those garden veges!

Our Home

This is Jeremy and my first project togther, our home! It was quite an experience from start to finish. It took us a week and a half after closing to get the previous owner out! He left a little bit of everything in the house, and took off with our microwave! That is stealing. We told him if he brought it back we would give him his stuff because it legally belonged to us now. Of course we didn't want any of it just the appliance back. We finally had to put all his stuff out in the driveway the night before a snow storm to get him to show up! Which worked, and he took half his stuff! Good thing there was another snow storm coming!
Once we got him out it took us about a week and we had all the holes patched (the previous owner had a bit of a temper), and the whole upstairs re-painted. Thank goodness the downstairs wasn't finished yet! It was so fun to see it all come together! We had so much help from so many people, thank you all! Special thanks to dad who did a special texture by hand on the yellow/gold wall. We love it and he did a great job! Your amazing!
